The Green Revolution saved India from starvation, but it left our soil addicted to chemical fertilizers. In Bihar, we are witnessing the consequences: barren lands, contaminated groundwater, and rising cancer rates. But hope is sprouting in the fields.

The Kedia Model

Look at the village of Kedia in Jamui. It has become a beacon of hope by becoming Bihar's first 'Organic Village'. Farmers here have replaced urea with vermicompost and pesticides with 'Jeevamrut' (a mixture of cow dung, urine, and jaggery). The result? Healthier soil, lower input costs, and crops that taste like they used to 50 years ago.

Integrating Tradition and Science

We are promoting this model across our adopted villages. We teach farmers that organic farming is not backward; it is the most advanced science of working *with* nature, not against it. By using crop rotation, mulching, and natural pest repellents, farmers are seeing their yields stabilize and their profits soar.

This is not just about agriculture; it is about health. It is about ensuring that the food on our plates nourishes us rather than poisoning us. Bihar is poised to lead India's second Green Revolution—an Organic one.
